Be warned. Hell hath no fury like the “Zombie
Apocalypse Tour” led appropriately by SCUM OF THE EARTH (@scumoftheearth), with
Blue Felix and Athel. The onslaught commences August 31 in Kansas City,
MO at Aftershock.
SCUM OF THE EARTH is invading America in support of the
August 28 worldwide release of THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT on the
Chicago-based Goomba Music, Inc. label (with distribution through eOne in North
America). Joining singer/guitarist/band mastermind RIGGS on the trek is
bassist Nick Mason (who doubles as a tattooist at RIGGS’ Monster Tattoo shop in
Branson, MO), guitarist Virus (who also plays guitar in Dope) and drummer Eddie
Travis. A trailer for the tour can be seen here: http://bit.ly/L7Y2oz.
The first single, “The Devil Made Me Do It III,” was
released last month and was heard during the New Jersey Devils’ Stanley Cup
playoff games. It was recorded at the Mansion Studio in Branson, MO by
RIGGS and Brandon Mashburn (Trust Company, The Dreaming). A video for the
song was recently shot in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at The Native Village, which is
where part of “Jackass 3D” was filmed. Directed by Tim King (SOiL bassist
and Director of A&R at Goomba Music, Inc.), viewers get exactly what they
expect (and more) from SCUM OF THE EARTH, including live snakes, RIGGS in an
alligator pit, zombie voodoo girls, fire breathers, lots of blood, and wild
animals. The clip can now be seen on the Goomba Music’s YouTube
here: http://bit.ly/PuFe2H.
Meanwhile, fans who purchase a CD copy of THE DEVIL
MADE ME DO IT will have access to a coupon for a free SCUM OF THE
EARTH devil tattoo at Monster Tattoo. As RIGGS exclaims, “It’s their
chance to bankrupt me!”
