San Francisco's Sic Alps will play to
anyone, anywhere. The extensive tour dates below should be the proof AND the
pudding. In their new fever-dream of a video, premiered today on Pitchfork.tv, the band sets up an
audience of one, a jean jacket-clad scarecrow, while they "perform"
for him. The performance includes instrument smashing, smoke bomb bashing, and
other examples of entertainment, interspersed with flashes of romanticism.
Their concert eventually ends and it's time to send the rapt spectator home.
The Alps won't recycle a tired principle, though. Set fire to their
instruments? F*ck that; they set fire to their audience.

There's no excuse to miss Sic Alps on tour this fall. Do you
live in a city? They will be there. Not coming to your particular village? Meet
them halfway. Starting with their record release show, followed by a slew of
dates with their Bay Area buddies Thee Oh Sees, and continuing on to the east
coast, this tour is a snake eating its own tail.
