THE B-52s 'CHIME IN' ON NBC PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN

The B-52s have lent their sound to NBC network's ongoing CHIME IN campaign. The World’s Greatest Party Band has recorded its own version of NBC's infamous chimes, which will air in promo form during the network’s primetime lineup. The promo will feature the band shaking and shimmying to the reworked tune in their own distinctive style.

The B-52s are in good company- other super-stars involved in the campaign include B.B. King, Clint Black, Richie Sambora, The Airborne Toxic Event, The Flaming Lips and T.I. All of the musicians will autograph the chimes with their own personal style -- from B.B. King playing guitar, to T.I. rapping, to The B-52s grooving to a dance beat -- the promos will excite, entertain and inform viewers.

About CHIME IN

The G-E-C notes have been an audio icon for NBC over the past 75 years, since the days when it was only a radio signal. Throughout the years, the chimes have been used by stars, from Jerry Seinfeld to Bill Cosby, but never before in such an all-encompassing campaign. In January 2008, the chimes were added to all promos and the overall effort took on the name CHIME IN -- gaining worldwide exposure throughout NBC’s Olympic coverage. NBC stars have championed the CHIME IN mantra and added their own personality and style like never before. From Masi Oka and Greg Grunberg beat-boxing to Jenna Fischer singing, talent are chiming in. They are now the voice of the network, introducing programming line-ups, sharing what is coming up next and putting their own signature on the chimes. The willingness of today’s hottest musical talent to embrace the chimes and infuse them with their own signature style illustrates the reach and impact of the three musical notes. Their star-power takes this branding campaign to a new level of excitement. Additionally, as the campaign continues to grow, the network looks forward to potential advertiser tie-ins or involvement -- giving advertisers a chance to CHIME IN.

The B-52s are currently on tour supporting their latest album Funplex. Recorded in their native Athens and released earlier this year, Funplex saw the band return to excellent reviews after a 16 year hiatus and once again deliver a collection of classic B-52s material. With its primal guitar hooks, driving drums and The B-52s unmistakable vocal style, Funplex is instantly recognizable as quintessential and contemporary B-52s.

The band recently released the “Juliet of the Spirits” Remix EP which features remixes from some of world’s most sought-after electronic producers - Zoned Out, Dan McKie, Glenn Morrison & Bruce Aisher, and Morgan Page

IN TOP 40 RADIO PLAY

Breakthrough New Artist To Perform
'ONE OF THE BOYS' Album In 50-City 2009 World Tour

(NEW YORK, NY November 18, 2008) - This years best new artist keeps breaking through. Capitol Records' own KATY PERRY adds another milestone to her already remarkable career, as the high-voltage smash "Hot N Cold" becomes her second No. 1-charted hit, reflecting national play in America's Top 40 radio format. The platinum-selling ONE OF THE BOYS rebounded into the Top 25 of the national Billboard Top 200 album chart five months after its release, thanks to the massive radio play of Katy's second consecutive chart-topper. The song is also No. 1 in Canada and Australia and in the Top 15 in the UK, Finland, Holland and New Zealand.

Katy begins her first worldwide headline tour in early 2009, starting January 23rd in Seattle, WA, and closing in her hometown of Santa Barbara, CA in May, with stops in 50 cities. Tickets are currently on sale.

Katy's debut single, "I Kissed a Girl," was her first international No. 1 hit. Its seven-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 equaled the Capitol Records label record previously set by The Beatles' "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". The song was the 1,000th American No. 1 hit of the rock era, surpassing 2 million domestic paid downloads, and now approaching 6 million in global single sales. In addition, the song was No. 1 nationally in 15 countries, including the U.K., Canada, Germany, Sweden, and Australia as well as a No. 1 iTunes download in over a dozen countries, and a No. 1 airplay smash in 20 territories.

ONE OF THE BOYS made its debut at No. 9 on Billboard's Top 200 album chart, and No. 4 on the Top Digital Album chart, on July 5, 2008. The album track fan favorite "Thinking of You" is being prepared for single release in December.
