DAYLIGHT DIES Reveal Opening Track From New Album Via Decibel Magazine

The fourth studio full-length from American harbingers of epic doom metal, DAYLIGHT DIES, is nearing release this Fall. One of the premiere acts of the genre to hail from the continent, the band have amassed a dedicated following through their live performances and multitude of mini-releases and LPs since their inception in the mid-‘90s. With each new chapter displaying a more dynamic and professional display from the outfit, their 2008-released Lost To The Living album took the band’s name to new heights with the band’s fanbase, who have anxiously been awaiting a new album for the past four years.

The wait is now nearly over, and on October 9th, DAYLIGHT DIES will release A Frail Becoming onto the North American masses. Yielding nearly fifty minutes of the band’s tumultuous, orchestrated doom metal superiority, as always flooded with as much emotion as aggression, A Frail Becoming is the band’s most accomplished work to date. The album was mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Opeth, Katatonia, Devin Townsend), the packaging bearing photography from award-winning Jonathan Mehring in a layout designed by Agni Kaster.

Today DAYLIGHT DIES have released the opening track to A Frail Becoming as glimpse into what they’ve constructed with this new opus via longtime supporters of the band, Decibel Magazine. Stream the crushing “Infidel” RIGHT HERE.

The band also completed a video for the song "Dreaming of Breathing," -- directed by Ramon Boutviseth, who also directed "Lies That Bind,” a video for their 2006-released Dismantling Devotion album --  which will be made available in the weeks ahead.

Having performed live across North America supporting the likes of Emperor, Moonspell, Katatonia, Candlemass and more in the past, DAYLIGHT DIES will head out on tour in support of A Frail Becoming in the months ahead, taking their mammoth songs to the live stage once again in early 2013.
