The Dunwells 'Blind Sighted Faith' Re-Released On Concord; Tonight Show August 31

ETOWN PERFORMANCE SEPTEMBER 6 AND AUSTIN CITY
LIMITS FESTIVAL OCTOBER 14

“I COULD BE KING” VIDEO ADDED AT CMT PURE, MTV AND VH1

“The U.K.’s harmony-happy Dunwells dive into American balladry with aching sincerity and melodic tics that recall Crowded House’s soft side.”—New York Daily News

“Given how evocative their music—particularly their harmonizing—is of the California folk and country-rock of Crosby, Stills, and Nash.”—Boston Globe

“It’s clear this is a band with a bright future.”—American Songwriter

“The best is yet to come for the Dunwells.”—Huffington Post

British folk-rock five-piece The Dunwells’ debut album Blind Sighted Faith is out today on Concord Records/Playing In Traffic. Self-released earlier this year, the re-release includes three new tracks, “Borrow Me, “Dance With Me” and “So Beautiful“ produced by George Drakoulias (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, The Black Crowes and The Jayhawks).  Their video for the first single and title track, “Blind Sighted Faith,” was recently added at CMT Pure, MTV and VH1: http://on.mtv.com/PI49Fq. SoundCloud listening party: http://bit.ly/Q5C2jM. The band will make their national television debut Friday, August 31, when they perform on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

In the midst of a 45-city U.S. tour the “must-see band” (NME) who “bring to mind the vocal harmonies of Crosby, Stills & Nash” (AOL Music) are winning fans with their amazing live performances throughout the States and Europe.  This year’s Lollapalooza was especially memorable. “With their set on the BMI stage cancelled, the band serenaded a group of fans on the Hilton’s lobby piano while the storm raged outside,” (Billboard.com) surviving “Lollageddon,” as they coined it.

Comprised of brothers Joseph Dunwell (vocals, guitar) and David Dunwell (guitar, piano, banjo) along with cousins Jonny Lamb (vocals, drums) and Rob Clayton (bass) and longtime best mate Dave Hanson (guitar, pedal steel), the band emerged from the pubs and clubs of their hometown, Leeds, England.

Recorded at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Studio outside of Austin with Grammy-winning producer and Roxy Music bassist John Porter (Bryan Ferry, The Smiths, Ryan Adams), the 11-track album features stellar musicianship, classic roots songwriting and soaring harmony vocals.

“It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, recording that album,” Joe Dunwell says. “A band of five guys from Leeds coming to Austin, Texas, in Willie Nelson’s studio, to record their debut album: You couldn’t write something like that. It was amazing.”
