Breton's haunting, atmospheric track "The Commission" has been reworked by UK
beat maker Lapalux. His aptly named"Aquatic Centre
Mix," which sounds like if the original had been plunged deep
underwater, premiered at XLR8R.com where it is available for exclusive
download. "Synth notes bubble up, deep pads surge like currents, and
robotic vocal samples rock to the epp and flow of Lapalux's slow-paced
beat," they exclaimed. The remix is from Breton's forthcoming remix
record while the original version of "The Commission" hails from the
band's debut LP, Other People's Problems, which was released
in April on FatCat Records to rave reviews from both sides of
the pond.
Lapalux's remix arrives ahead of Breton's North American tour next month. The London-based audio/visual collective are returning to the U.S. and Canada for a headline tour following their main support run with We Were Promised Jetpacksthis past spring. They will be joined on select dates by The Big Sleepand Ambassadors. Full routing below.
Earlier this month, Breton had a career highlight where they
played at France's La Route du Rock Festival in front of
thousands in a castle with The XX. The full performance was filmed
and can be watched below:
