John Cale Shares "I Wanna Talk 2 U" Stream & Reveals Album Art

John Cale is pleased to share the Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood album art, created by New York-based designer Rob Carmichael. Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood will be out October 2nd on Domino Records imprint Double Six.

We recently announced the single release of Shifty Adventures... opening track, "I Wanna Talk 2 U," produced by Danger Mouse. From the offset in creating this song, John envisioned "an old-school Detroit vibe," something present in the track's urgent wah-wah and insistent stomp. Lyrically, he has eschewed the usual content of a broken heart or philandering cheater in favor of something all together more John Cale, something much more oblique . . . Listen below.
