New Jersey/New York-based punk band NIGHT BIRDS has announced a round of upcoming spring and summer dates this week.  The dates include Sound & Fury Fest in Santa Barbara, CA, The Fest 11 in Gainesville, FL, Ottawa Explosion Fest in Ottowa, ON, Bernard College's WBAR-B-Q in New York, Insubordination Fest in Baltimore, MD, No Suck Fest in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Road to Ruin Fest in Philly.  Additionally this spring will see Night Birds playing several shows on the East Coast, including an in-store at Generation Records in NYC on Record Store Day and sold-out shows with Ceremony and Cock Sparrer before heading over to the West Coast this summer for the first time ever (full tour dates below).

Formed in the spring of 2009, Night Birds released a series of singles and EPs on respected labels Art of the Underground, No Way, Dirtnap and Grave Mistake before releasing their critically acclaimed first full length, The Other Side of Darkness on Grave Mistake in 2011.  The band has remained active since their inception, playing regularly throughout the Northeast, at festivals throughout the country, and touring Europe, all the while gaining a reputation for their intense energetic live performances and signature surfy, snotty punk sound.  Most recently, the band appeared on a live-taping of The Chris Gethard Show, their performance (and ensuing aftermath) can be viewed online.

Finally, Grave Mistake will be releasing a 12" vinyl version of the Night Birds' early singles collection Fresh Kills Volume 1 which will feature the band's out of print demo, "Killer Waves" 7" single, "S/T" 7" EP, and the soon-to-be out of print "Midnight Movies" 7" EP.  The 12" will be available in July, just in time for the two week tour out West, which includes dates in California, Hawaii, British Columbia, and Portland.

Night Birds is Brian Gorsegner (vocals), Joe Keller (bass), PJ Russo (guitar) and Ryan McHale (drums).
