DJ Danny Tenaglia is one of the three acts scheduled to
perform at Voyage Royale IV presented by Movement Electronic Music Festival and
BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen Mexico—on Sunday, May 27 in
Detroit. The House Music icon’s first-ever Detroit performance
will be a six-hour set; announced today along with details of the Movement
Festival’s opening party on May 25, Lil’ Louis Official Movement Afterparty on
May 26, and closing party on May 28.
After releasing a statement through his official Facebook
page that he was “resigning,” the Grammy-nominated Tengalia took to Facebook
again on Friday, April 20 to let fans know he would visit Detroit for the
annual electronic music festival.
“…Then my last gig noted ((UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)) will BE
... and for my first time ever that I will FINALLY get my ass to legendary
place of DETROIT for their annual Electronic Music Festival where I will play a
SIX Hour Set "on a Boat" of Old School House with the unexpected
twists and turns of traveling thru Time and Space and back again!!” said
Tenaglia on his Facebook page last Friday. “This feels soooo
right and I am psyched that after my scaring all promoters involved that they
are still thrilled to have me on board! What a great line-up this will BE also.

Joining Tengalia aboard the Detroit Princess Riverboat for
Voyage Royale IV on Sunday, May 27 will be No. 19 presents the Social
Experiment floor with Art Department (exclusive) and DJ
Sneak. Admission is 18+ and tickets cost $60. Party-goers can
board the boat May 27 beginning at 11 p.m. The party will last until 5

Memorial Day Weekend in Detroit will kick-off on Friday, May
25 when Movement Official Opening Party takes place at Elysium Lounge, 625
Shelby Street in Detroit. Scheduled to perform are Matt
Tolfrey vs Ryan Crosson; Life And Death (first-ever live
performance); Clockwork; Thugfucker; PillowTalk; Bill
Patrick; Lee Curtiss; and Shaun Reeves. Admission
is 21+ and Doors open at 9 p.m. The first 100 tickets
are $10, the second 100 tickets are $15, then the price will be $20 thereafter.

On Saturday, May 26 Organic and Movement present Lil’
Louis at Saint Andrews Hall, 431 East Congress in Detroit, for an
extended set. Others scheduled to perform are Detroit’s own Rick
Wilhite, Greg Wilson from the UK who performs using a
reel-to-reel, and Michael Geiger. Admission is 18+ and

Movement Electronic Music Festival weekend will come to an
end with the official closing party on Monday, May 28 at Elysium with an
extended set performance by Italy’s Techno pioneer Marco Carola. Admission
is 21+ and doors open at 11 p.m. The cost to attend is free with a
festival VIP wristband and $5 for everyone else. No presale available.
