Los Angeles band Fool’s Gold have become
known across the globe for their fervent energy and the distinct ability to
both mesmerize and make people boogie down. Leave No Trace,
released last year onIAMSOUND, showed a confident, focused band that
redefined and sculpted their sound, in a live setting and on record. The
five-piece group comprised of founding members Luke Top (vocals/bass)
and Lewis Pesacov (guitar), Garrett Ray (drums), Brad
Caulkins (multi-intrumentalist), and Salvador Placencia (percussion),
will hit the road in May to support Edward Sharpe & The
Magnetic Zeros on the East Coast and headline several dates in the
Midwest.
In addition to the news of Fool’s Gold hitting the road next
month, the band is sharing a beautiful new video for Leave
No Trace’s “The Dive,” premiered via NPR Music’s
“First Watch” series earlier today. The video was a collaborative
effort between director Tim Nakashi and the band.

PRAISE FOR LEAVE NO TRACE:
“Leave No Trace is a pared-down and spaced-out,
stomping beast with hooks by the cartload, wicked strutting grooves, surfy
atmospherics and head-crookin' Krautrockian synth swathes.” – LA
Weekly
“Fool's Gold…melds styles skillfully, layering perky
polyrhythms behind Top's commanding crooning, and sounding chipper and bubbly
on tunes such as ‘The Dive’ and ‘Bark and Bite.’” – Philadelphia
Inquirer
“The band broadens its appeal on Leave No Trace,
threading the needle between the Sahara and the synth-heavy romanticism of
1980s New Wave.” – Austin Chronicle
“Live, Fool's Gold was boldly organic in its explorations,
piecing together its tight little multi-culti pop jams in a refreshing
counterpoint to the plethora of dance-rock acts that pass as indie rock today.”
