FEATURING 12TH PLANET AND FLINCH OUT NOW
Earlier this month (Wednesday, April 11), KORN garnered one of the greatest accolades in metal by winning the REVOLVER Golden God Award for “Album of the Year,” presented by Marshall Amplification, for THE PATH OF TOTALITY (Roadrunner). The win, determined by fan-generated votes, leads into the band’s third leg of their “Path of Totality” tour, launching this Friday, April 20 at Lonestar Amphitheater in Lubbock, TX.
It finds the band hitting several cities and amphitheaters, which will be a mix of headlining shows and festival dates. Openers on the tour include frontman JONATHAN DAVIS DJing as his alter ego J Devil, as well as dubstep talent Sluggo. Ticket information found at korn.com.
KORN released their new album THE PATH OF TOTALITY this past December where it debuted in the Top Ten on Billboard. The album has also been a fixture on Billboard’s Dance Electronic Albums chart, and has sold 500,000 digital singles from the album—a staggering amount for a rock band.
The Golden God Award was a unique win for the REVOLVER Golden God Award, as the California-based band collaborated with a range of EDM artists, including Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Feed Me and Kill the Noise, as well as 12th Planet who lent his production skills to the album’s current single “Way Too Far.”
THE PATH OF TOTALITY has been met with critical acclaim and KORN once again proved that they are ahead of the curve. In fact, not only has the album sold well, but has already garnered over 450,000 single sales—a staggering amount and a testament to the growing EDM following that KORN has amassed by experimenting with different genres. Other cuts from the album include the Top Five rock hits “Get Up!” with Skrillex and “Narcissistic Cannibal” also with Skrillex and Kill The Noise.
