Watch The Robotic “Nobody Loves You Like Me” Video Jonathan Coulton speaks to the outcast in all of us, in the voices of characters we know from our own sad little lives. His ability to turn unusual subject matter into ultra-catchy pop songs has earned him praise from the media as well as an fervent fanbase. Coulton’s new album, Artificial Heart, was released November 8 on Jocoserious Records to incredible response. In addition to selling over $100,000 in special pre-sale packages off his website, but the album hit #1 on the Billboard Heatseeker Chart as well as #23 on the Billboard Indie Chart and #105 on the Billboard Top 200. Artificial Heart is Jonathan Coulton’s first album of all new material since his infamous 2006 “Thing A Week” series, during which he created 52 musical pieces in 52 weeks. A strong addition to an already impressive discography spanning a decade - he leaves behind the home recording gear for a studio filled with talented musicians and guest vocalists including Suzanne Vega, John Roderick of The Long Winters, Sara Quin of Tegan and Sara and John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants who produced the record. Jonathan Coulton’s song “Still Alive” is the closing soundtrack to the video game “Portal," and was awarded “Best Original Vocal Pop Song” in 2008 by the Game Audio Network Guild. The song became a cultural sensation and now has over _ million views on YouTube. This year, Coulton was asked back to write “Want You Gone," a song for Portal’s long awaited sequel. For now, fans appetites can be wetted by the new eerily robotic video that Jonathan Coulton just released for album track “Nobody Loves You Like Me”.
