Tracy Shedd (Teen-Beat) + Fort Lowell Records hit the road!

It has been seven years since Teen-Beat recording artist Tracy Shedd has been on a proper US Tour; seven years too long.  Since Tracy Shedd's last days spent on the road, she has released some of here greatest recordings: Cigarettes & Smoke Machines (Teen-Beat Records 2008), EP88 (Eskimo Kiss Records 2010), and her split 7inch with Wet & Reckless (via our very own Fort Lowell Records 2010), as well as her contribution to the Luz de Vida benefit compilation (Fort Lowell Records 2011).  All recorded while living in Tucson, AZ, mostly at Wavelab Studio with Craig Schumacher (Calexico, Neko Case, Amos Lee), the world is now ready to hear what Tracy Shedd has been doing in the Old Pueblo!  Armed, this time not with her Avocado Green Micro-Frets guitar but instead, with what has become her signature Red Fender Telecaster, and now an 88-key piano along side, Tracy Shedd will be performing tracks from these recordings, and perhaps a new one or two!

In addition, we... Fort Lowell Records, will be joining Tracy Shedd on her tour to promote Luz de Vida (released October 18, 2011), the compilation to benefit victims of the Tucson Tragedy (January 2011 shootings involving Congresswoman Gabby Giffords); featuring artist such as Calexico, Giant Sand, Neko Case, Spoon, DeVotchKa, Jimmy Eat World, John Vanderslice, Robyn Hitchcock, plus Tucson locals Tracy Shedd, Dead Western Plains, Lenguas Largas, Sergio Mendoza y La Orkesta, and many others.  Howe Gelb (of Giant Sand) will be joining Tracy Shedd for three dates on the West Coast, along with Sweet Secrets in Seattle WA, both additional artists that contributed to Luz de Vida.  Our goal continue raising money for the Tucson Together Fund, and develop further national attention to the benefit of this project.
