Jonathan Coulton speaks to the outcast in all of us, in the voices of characters we know from our own sad little lives. His new album, Artificial Heart, was released on November 8 on Jocoserious Records and to incredible response. In addition to selling over $100,000 in special pre-sale packages off his website, the album hit #1 on the Billboard Heatseeker Chart as well as #23 on the Billboard Indie Chart and #105 on the Billboard Top 200.

Since the album’s release, Coulton has been treating fans to music videos for several album tracks, which he has been posting on JonathanCoulton.com. Shot and directed by John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants, the videos feature brand-new live recordings of tracks from the new album. Today, Coulton has released the final piece of his series — a video for the song “Sticking It To Myself.”

Artificial Heart is Jonathan Coulton’s first album of all new material since his infamous 2006 “Thing A Week” series, during which he created 52 musical pieces in 52 weeks. A strong addition to an already impressive discography spanning a decade - he leaves behind the home recording gear for a studio filled with talented musicians and guest vocalists including Suzanne Vega, John Roderick of The Long Winters, Sara Quin of Tegan and Sara and John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants, who produced the record.

Jonathan Coulton’s song “Still Alive” is the closing soundtrack to the video game “Portal," and was awarded “Best Original Vocal Pop Song” in 2008 by the Game Audio Network Guild. The song became a cultural sensation and now has over 20 million views on YouTube. The new video for “Still Alive” ft. Sara Quin can be found on Coulton’s website alongside “Nemeses,” “Nobody Loves You Like Me,” “Today With Your Wife,” and “Down Today.”
