KING FANTASTIC GIVE APPRECIATION A REMIX JUST IN TIME FOR BASSGIVING

KING FANTASTIC GIVE US "APPRECIATION REMIX" JUST IN TIME FOR BASSGIVING
AS HEARD EXCLUSIVELY IN INTERVIEW MAGAZINE

"Rap music is evolving, and the torchbearers of the new guard hail from Venice Beach? Indeed, there is little that is typical about King Fantastic...  With Troublemaker's bass and synth-heavy beats laying the foundation for Reese One's carefully cultivated verses, modern hip hop has rarely sounded so eclectic."

Along with their partner in grime crime, King Fantastic and 3 Stripes give us their "Appreciation Remix" just in time for Bassgiving (Friday November 25 at Palm Springs Convention Center). They're fattening us up with their wobble and bass adding an extra serving of synth heavy beats this season.  The tune premiered exclusively on Interview Magazine earlier this week who says, "The hook is an intriguing one given the sonic context, but with results as hot as this, it's hard to argue the message."

King Fantastic is not your ordinary musical duo from LA, but then again nothing is ordinary about their music. We’re living in an era where hip-hop progressively feasts itself upon electronic beats and King Fantastic delves head first into both arenas. King Fantastic’s music is nostalgic for the level of skill, originality and authenticity of the underground LA hip hop culture of the late 90s. The freestyle independence from Emcees and musical styles of that era coupled with today’s progressive bass driven dubstep and Drum and Bass scenes gave birth to “Westcoast synthesizer beach bum gangster music” a term tagged by King Fantastic.
Given the diverse upbringings of both producer and internationally known DJ,Troublemaker and Rapper/lyricist Killer Reese One (who is one half of LA underground rap duo Bleu Collar) one would safely say that it’s karma how they united.  And the musical climate seems fit to embrace their wildly scandalous taste for dirty beats, hip hop, dubstep, and drum & bass. A prime example is King Fantastic's latest video "On Q",  a strip Russian roulette with a twist, directed by Randall Kirk II, who also directed their internet famous "Why? Where? What? video which has received over 1 million views

Both "Appreciation" and "On Q" can be heard on "Finger Snaps and Gun Claps", King Fantastic's critically acclaimed 2010 debut LP.  With that release and their latest EP "Death of Summer" the duo are achieving global digital underground success in both the electronic and hip hop cultures.
“Eclectic and menacing, the group’s big beat vitriol was born in Venice Beach and Playa del Rey in 2010, perhaps a surprise to those used to name checking Compton, Oakland and Long Beach in their hip-hop history discussions. But if the tracks from their 2010 debut, “Finger Snaps and Gun Claps,” or their forthcoming EP, “Death of Summer,” tell us anything, it’s that King Fantastic proudly represents its ZIP Code.”
