"The occupy movement is inspiring; we haven't seen a movement for socio-economic change of this caliber in this country since the Vietnam and civil rights protests of the late 1960s. Musicians and artists alike have always played a valuable role in spearheading change throughout history. In fact, songs and lyrics are arguably a more honest window into the past because they reflect real individuals' personal experience versus the cut-and-dry time lines of academic history books. Our fans continue to support us because we write songs about everyday life dramas that we all relate to the 99%!
"Our latest record 'Dead Man Rockin',' is a good stepping stone for our fans who weren't previously interested in accepting the fact that the greed of the extremely wealthy is legitimately diminishing their quality of life. We have successfully graduated from the last album's general theme of 'Let's Screw,' to 'Hey, we're getting screwed.' There is no doubt that music continues to influence everyones lives, and we feel responsible as artists with a voice to use it for the greater goodrather than pursuing the mindless, poisonous sh#t show of mainstream pop music. We also support this movement by pushing ourselves as individual musicians, the removal of arts in education is just one of the many ailments that are in protest by the Occupy movements. Lets face it, the skill sets, literacy and versatility of American standards are embarrassing. We'll continue to play our role in being one of the many musical voices of our time, and honor those sacrificing their comfort zones of daily life by showing the establishment that we are here, and we're not leaving! Viva la Revolucion!"
If you would like to speak with the band members please let me know. And I would like to know your heartfelt thoughts on "Uncle Sam".
VIDEO FOR "UNCLE SAM"
The video was directed by Frank Door of 151 Films, and portrays the down and out uncle, complete with stars and stripes top hat, armed to the teeth and lighting his smoke with burning money. “Uncle Sam” delivers a cautionary tale of the path the government and powers-that-be in the United States are taking toward an insular and protective land.
