COMPANY OF THIEVES released Running From A Gamble earlier this year on Wind-up Records and a FREE DOWNLOAD of “Won’t Go Quietly” is currently available via HobNob Wines' INNER CIRCLE on Facebook, where fans can access free music downloads, tastemaker editorial content, and special events.
In addition to the free download, there is now also live performance video from a June 2011 concert at New York's Bowery Ballroom.
Featured by Interview Magazine, Spin, AOL Spinner, Consequence of Sound and as Paste’s “Best Of What’s Next,” Company of Thieves are currently on tour through November.
“Singer Genevieve Schatz has a refreshingly dynamic, captivating performance style,” commends Live Daily. “Shaking a tambourine and dancing freely around the stage, her vocals are a combination of Bjork and Regina Spektor. Her extended notes were nearly jaw-dropping, and certainly goose-bump inducing.”
Running From A Gamble is the follow up to the band’s debut, Ordinary Riches. That album was released in 2009 and landed at #5 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and the band toured non-stop around the release, performing headline dates and also opening for bands such as OK GO and The Hold Steady, followed by duets with Daryl Hall on his hit show, “Live From Daryl’s House.” Reviews of the album and live performances were nothing but positive. Entertainment Weekly raved, “Thanks to Genevieve’s consistently gutsy soul-chick vocals and her bandmates’ energetic arrangement…their technique can’t be denied.”
