It's just over a week until the beginning of POP MONTREAL.  The festival has already announced massive headliners The Arcade Fire who will play 2 shows along with helping organize a charity basketball game. Other standouts include Stephen Malkmus, Girls, Yuck, Dominique Young Unique, Ford & Lopatin, The Raincoats, Redd Kross, R. Stevie Mooore, Chromeo, Joe Bataan and Fucked Up along with over 300 more bands various art shows, kids programming, a film festival, an arts & crafts fair and a conference. But that's not it.
The festival is pleased to announce the return of Patrick Watson's Sacred Sunday! Sacred Sunday will take place for the 2nd year in a row at the hallowed Ukrainian Federation at 4:30pm. Joining Watson will be many friends and musicians including Katie Moore, Alden Penner, Amy Millan of Stars, Ariel Engle, The Every Kid and Senior's Choir with Li'l Andy. Last year the event sold out quickly. Tickets go on sale Wednesday at noon, so do not hesitate. POP Montreal will end with quite possibly their favorite band of all time.
It will certainly be a special and festive occasion when THINK ABOUT LIFE return for a super party at the late night venue L'Église POP Little Burgundy (Église Saint-Édouard). Think About Life will be joined by some amazing surprised guests along with the mysterious band Phi Samma Jamma and none other than world-dance hall master DJ Valeo. This promises to be the ultimate POP party vibe.
