A record as dynamic as it is devastating, BLACK COBRA's fourth full-length  Invernal will finally hit North American fans this October 11th. As always, raging with whiplash-inducing time change-ups and wreaking more damage than lineups three times the size of this brutalizing duo, Invernal was recorded in eight days this past July at Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou's God City Studio and mastered by John Golden (Neurosis, Melvins, Weedeater, countless more). Inspired in part by the famed, dangerous treks of English researcher Ernest Shackleton, the theme to the entire record is based on a post-apocalyptic trek to a nuclear infested and mutated Antarctica.

BLACK COBRA will be announcing countless more support and headlining tours following their tour supporting Kyuss Lives!, and through 2012, constantly proving to be one of the hardest-working bands on the scene.

"...this is a band that seems to always improve on its punishing formula. 4.5/5" - Music Emissions

"...the music conjures nightmarish images of trying to outrun a massive force of nature which, of course, will inevitably catch up with you, overpower you, and destroy you." - MetalSucks

"...like a shotgun blast of thumb tacks, gravel and raw amphetamine - point blank to the face." - The Bone Reader

"...I still can’t figure out how only two humans can create such a monolithic sonic attack!" - Cvlt Nation
