Alberta Cross Release The Rolling Thunder EP!
Alberta Cross have released their highly-anticipated new album, The Rolling Thunder EP on ATO Records.
The EP recorded at legendary studios Electric Lady in New York City and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles can be
purchased here, and was inspired by time spent across the globe - from a cottage in Wales to the haunting
seclusion of the North Carolina woods. The limited edition EP, of which only 2000 copies were printed, will be
available exclusively at the band’s concerts and indie retail stores, satiating fans until the release of an entirely
new full-length album in early 2012.
Alberta Cross recently performed at Virgin Mobile Free Fest in Maryland and the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas,
and will support their new EP this fall on an extensive national tour with psych-folk buzz act Portugal. The Man,
starting September 28th in Santa Clara, CA. They will be playing new songs, recently perfected during residencies
at The Casbah in San Diego and Velvet Jones in Santa Barbara, as well as digging into their back catalog for
long-time fans. Scroll down for the full list of the band's upcoming tour dates.
Ketel One Vodka has recently announced a major partnership with Alberta Cross, as the band and their new hit "Money
For The Weekend" is featured in the brand’s prominent TV, radio and digital ad campaigns throughout 2011. Acclaimed
director David O. Russell (The Fighter, I Heart Huckabees, Three Kings) shot an exclusive Ketel One performance video
series with Alberta Cross which is available for viewing on the band's facebook page.
The Rolling Thunder EP is the follow up to Alberta Cross' critically-acclaimed album Broken Side of Time. Their
breakthrough release earned praise from major outlets such as Rolling Stone who called the band "A breaking artist",
Esquire Magazine who called the record "as electrically dark as it is electrifyingly determined", and Billboard who
called Broken Side of Time "a step forward in cementing the band's place in American blues-rock". For more
