OTEP New Tour, New Videos, New Album

Los Angeles quartet OTEP are proud to announce new tour dates with HELLYEAH and bloodsimple. The BALLS VOLUME STRENGTH TOUR will kick off in Michigan at The Fillmore Detroit on October 30 and close out on December 7 at The Palladium in Worcester, MA.

OTEP has also gone into pre-production for two brand-new videos from their upcoming album, “The_Ascension.” The band has called on music video director P.R. Brown (Smashing Pumpkins, James Blunt) to produce the videos for “Breed” and “Confrontation.” Brown wrote the treatment for “Confrontation,” while frontwoman Otep Shamaya has written the treatment for the Nirvana cover, “Breed.” The videos are set to be filmed in Los Angeles. Brown has previously worked with OTEP on the video for “GhostFlowers.”

The upcoming tour will support the October 30 release of OTEP’s new album, “The_Ascension.” For the album, OTEP called on Dave Fortman (Mudvayne, Evanescence) to produce, and also enlisted Grammy-nominated guitarist Greg Tribbett (Mudvayne and HELLYEAH) to co-write three songs. To date, OTEP has sold over 400,000 units.
