Los Angeles based Jupiter Rising have achieved yet another goal, merely four weeks after the release of their new CD Electropop, on Chime Entertainment. Within one week of being featured on the MySpace home page, Jupiter Rising’s plays have doubled to over 500,000 spins, making them the #1 band in the MySpace Pop Indie category and the #2 overall Indie band in all genres. That coupled with Jupiter Rising’s scheduled appearance on MTV’s My Super Sweet Sixteen has garnered the group a legion of new fans.
This activity has caught the attention of mainstream radio everywhere and “Electropop” is now being re-serviced to radio with an exciting new story. The single is currently #17 on the Billboard Dance Chart and has proven a worthy follow-up to the group’s Top 7 Dance success with the single “Go!”
Jupiter Rising is comprised of two unique individuals, founding member and human beat box extraordinaire Spencer Nezey and the powerful yet sultry voice of Jessie Payo (as well as a phenomenal five piece band.) “Electropop,” the title cut and first single from the CD was produced by “J.R.” Rotem (who recently produced Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls” and Rihanna’s hit single “S.O.S.”) and has sold over 15,000 downloads to date. Additionally, video director Paul “Coy” Allen (whose most recent video, “Give It To Me” for Timbaland was a world-wide smash) has shot a video for the single. Jupiter Rising have recently been signed by ICM and are currently on the road with The Pack.
