Morgan Page announces the launch of Nuance Recordings

After a series of chart topping dance floor remixes and a cult-favorite bootleg album, DJ / Producer Morgan Page is pleased to announce the launch of his new label Nuance Recordings. A vehicle for both his remixes and original productions, Nuance Recordings is another step in the rapid growth of this fine young talent.

Morgan Page has never been bound by the constraints of the music industry and he always plays by his own rules. With few label options for a young DJ/producer to turn, in 2006 he self-released the bootleg remix album Cease And Desist. Comprised of his unauthorized remixes of songs from popular music acts including Coldplay and David Bowie, Morgan took on big music and won. The album drew raves reviews in magazines and websites all over the world and it became a cult classic with fans. Ironically, rather than receive the cease and desist letters from the major labels, the album actually provided the labels with a solid showcase of Morgan Page’s work. It wasn’t long before he was hired by the majors to legally remix tracks from their hottest artists. He now works regularly with Warner Bros, Wind Up, Sanctuary, Concord Records, Interscope, Geffen, and Virgin, and has remixed mainstream acts including Nelly Furtado, Korn, Stevie Nicks & Angie Stone. Morgan Page has also landed three #1 Billboard remixes including Nelly Furtado "Maneater," Delerium "Angelicus," and most recently, Jody Watley's "I Want Your Love." His remix of Tegan & Sara's single "Back In Your Head" will also be released soon via Warner Bros

"Cease and Desist started as an experiment to see how these mixes would resonant with the public. I had no idea how people would react, but my friends and fellow DJs urged me to release the album. Next thing I know - the mixes are popping up on KCRW, getting played at Coachella, and the majors are asking for remix work," Page says

Although Morgan Page is having great success with his mainstream remixes, his heart lies with the underground. After all, it was acts like Swayzak, Terry Lee Brown Jr. and Barada that first drew him into the world of electronic dance music. Prior to the launch of Nuance Recordings, Page successfully released tracks and EPs through respected labels including Bedrock, SAW, and Force Tracks. Nuance Recordings will now provide an outlet for Morgan Page to showcase his own original material on a regular basis (w/ occasional guests) directly through Beatport and via IODA for iTunes and smaller store accounts. Currently out now on Beatport is “Landline” (receiving full support from the likes of Sasha, James Zabiela, Sander Kleinenberg, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, and Nick Warren) and “The Tipping Point” EP. Please click here for a complimentary download of “Landline.”

Morgan Page plans to release his debut artist album in the spring through Nettwerk, featuring a selection of both his original productions and remixes. The album will be preceded by the November release of a brand new single through Nettwerk.
