Graphic, award-winning film delves behind the scenes into the Bondage, Domination and S & M fetish world through the no-holds-barred eyes of art photographer Noel Graydon
MVD Entertainment Group announced today it has licensed the controversial Australian documentary feature Liberty In Restraint for U.S. home video and Internet distribution markets, and will street the DVD on December 11, 2007 – the perfect holiday gift for open-minded people.
Liberty In Restraint follows fetish photographer Noel Graydon in his quest for authenticity within the clandestine world of BDSM (Bondage & Discipline and Sado-Masochism), fetish fashion and alternative sex. Director Michael Ney brings viewers along for Noel’s journey from commercial artist to S&M master to art photographer. Viewers see Noel create his art, feel his passion and share his love for the transgressive community he lived in before his tragic death in July, 2007.
"It’s such a shame Noel died before we secured U.S. distribution,” said Michael Ney, the director and producer of Liberty In Restraint. “I was always impressed by his originality and courage to create dangerous visions. He would have been proud that his art would be seen in the New World too.”
Liberty In Restraint won Best Documentary at New York’s CineKink Film Festival, and was a Finalist in Australia’s MAFIA Documentary Competition as a work in progress.
The U.S. release will be supported by screenings of Liberty In Restraint in major U.S. cities as well as by select personal appearances by Director Michael Ney.
