Slightly Stoopid is sitting on Top of
the World this week, as the band's seventh studio release entered
the Billboard 200 at #13 as well as the Billboard
Independent Albumschart at #3. It's the long-running band's highest
charting album on the Billboard charts. Top of the World also
debuted on Billboard's Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts with a final
position of No. 4.Helping power the band's march up the charts is a loyal fan
base that has come out in droves to support the band as they heat up the summer
on the Unity Tour 2012 with 311. Meanwhile, a radio version of the album's
title track recently became a popular addition to radio playlists nationwide,
including tastemakers KROQ (Los Angeles,) 91X (San Diego) and SF's Live
105.
In reaction to the chart success, Slightly Stoopid
co-founder Miles Doughty noted,"It's a good feeling to have our
best-ever Billboard debut. We owe it all to our fans for their incredible
loyalty and support."

next month. First up is the "Red Bull Sound Space at KROQ" at
4:20 pm PST on August 23, when fans are invited to take a front row seat
