D-TOX Rockfest 2012 confirms DREAM THEATER, SUBLIME WITH ROME, NO USE FOR A NAME, GOOD RIDDANCE!

Outaouais Rock is proud to confirm that progressive metal Gods Dream Theater will be performing and closing the festival on the Saturday night of this year’s 7th edition.  Formed in 1985, the Massachusetts band sold over 12 million albums, released its 11th album last Fall and was recently nominated for a Grammy Award.

Famous Californian ska-punk band Sublime with Rome will also be part of the lineup.  Fifteen years after Brad Nowell’s death, Sublime’s original lead singer, the influential group reunited and adopted the name Sublime with Rome, in reference to their new singer, Rome Ramirez. After playing the biggest festivals in the world and selling 17 million albums, the band will finally visit us in Montebello!

California punk-rock bands No Use For A Name and Good Riddance will both be part of the well-diversified 2012 D-TOX Rockfest program.  These acts will be joining previously announced bands Korn, Bad Religion and Suicide Silence.  An additional 90 artists will be revealed in March.  Do not miss your chance to see your favourite bands in Montebello, since it will be the only showing of these major international bands this summer in Quebec.

Breaking through in Texas and recognized by the Canadian industry

As part of the Planet Quebec project, D-TOX Rockfest will host a showcase and will proudly represent Western Quebec at South by Southwest, North America’s biggest music conference in Austin, Texas on March 17th at Spill Bar.
