Chaos in Tejas Adds Sham 69 (Original 1977 Lineup!), No Age, Ceremony and More to 2012 Lineup

Now in its eighth glorious year, Chaos in Tejas, aka one of the world's most celebrated gathering of underground punk, hardcore, indie, grind, thrash, and heavy metal heroes young and old, has just announced the latest additions to its 2012 event, taking place May 31st through June 3rd around the entire city of Austin, Texas.

In addition to the previously confirmed performances by Nasum, Moss Icon, Saint Vitus, Best Coast, Drop Dead, The Clean, Iceage, Ted Leo, Church of Misery, The Abused, Ringworm, Ghoul, Phobia, Antisect, Ringworm, The Mob, Municipal Waste, Toys That Kill and a countless myriad of others, the folks at Chaos in Tejas are proud to announce the most recent, additional performances from legendary UK punk heroes Sham 69 (featuring the original 1977 lineup of Jimmy Pursey, Dave Parsons, Dave Tregunna and Mark Cain)! Additional newly confirmed bands performing include No Age, Ceremony, Big Freedia, Screaming Females and more.

Taking place in downtown Austin, TX, Chaos in Tejas is the punk rock version of SXSW, hosting some of the largest, most renown, and most historic names in virtually every genre of the counter-culture music underground. Drawing in fans from all corners of the globe to fill the city's streets and venues, the event aims to bring some of the noisiest and most memorable experiences of their adult and adolescent lives.

Now in its eigth year, Chaos has previously played host to such legendary acts as Los Crudos, Eyehategod, Propagandhi, Roky Erickson, Cro-Mags, Harvey Milk, Youth of Today, Unbroken, X, Rorschach, Universal Order of Armageddon, Amebix, Subhumans, Doom, The Thermals, Fucked Up, Citizens Arrest, F.Y.P. and countless others, serving as one of the largest, punk-rock focused music festivals in the world.
