SKOLD joins Metropolis Records

SKOLD waylays 2011 with his first full-length solo album in 15 years. Delivering a snarky CD single prelude on April 12, setting the stage for a May 10th full Album release - SKOLD steps up once again, supplying sonic solvent for the huffing social cynics.

Gestating through production and composition with such artists as KMFDM and Marilyn Manson, producing feats like the #1 Billboard charting album The Golden Age of Grotesque [feat. "mOBSCENE" nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.] and the critically acclaimed Eat Me, Drink Me, SKOLD arrived prodigiously throughout 2009, having dispatched the album SKOLD vs. KMFDM and three new solo teaser tracks: "I Will Not Forget", "Bullets Ricochet" and "A Dark Star" garnished with validation by accolades of TV placement in shows like NCIS and FlashForward, and rabid fan consumption.

The product of an active 2010, the May album and its first single, "Suck", are munitions ready to go and renowned label Metropolis Records has signed on as
gunner to make sure those salvos hit on target. The April CD single raises a flag taken up by cohorts and allies like Combichrist, 16Volt and Front Line
Assembly who have shown up to contribute their own remixes of the track.

Always one to fight on all fronts, 2010-turn-2011 will also see SKOLD continuing with the new Scandinavian metal/hard rock supergroup, Doctor Midnight & The
Mercy Cult. Already finished recordings with the line up of underground heroes Hank von Hell [Turbonegro], Anders Odden [Celtic Frost, Satyricon], Audun
Stengel [Apoptygma Berzerk] and David Husvik [Extol] look set to form an album band of brothers in the new year.

These releases and more lie in waiting for a smug and self-assured 2011 and all she carries with her.
