NEW POLITICS START THE NEW YEAR WITH "DIGNITY'

NEW POLITICS NAMED ONE OF MTV'S '2011 ARTISTS TO WATCH' AS WELL AS THE 'POSTED' ARTIST FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY

NEW POLITICS TO MAKE THEIR LATE NIGHT NETWORK TELEVISION DEBUT ON ABC’S “JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!”

(New York - NY) - New Politics, the Brooklyn based / Denmark born 3 piece rock band are starting the new year off strong. Their current single "Dignity" off their 2010 self-titled debut album (RCA Records) is making waves on the Rock charts and their first single, the effusive "Yeah Yeah Yeah" is currently featured on the Dell television campaign.

MTV has officially added “Dignity” and named New Politics as one of their "2011 Artists To Watch". In the upcoming weeks “Dignity" will be featured in Artist to Watch countdowns across MTV AMTV, MTV2, mtvU, and MTV Hits. In addition, they are currently featured in an Artists To Watch PUSH campaign. New Politics are also MTV's "Posted" artist for the entire month of January. "Posted" is an on-line interactive campaign which will feature New Politics content on their own page on MTV.com for the entire month.

Additionally, New Politics will be making their late night network television debut on ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on January 19th at 12:05am ET/PT before heading off to the Europe for some late January tour dates. New Politics will be back touring the U.S. later this spring.

Fresh off their 2010 tours with both 30 Seconds to Mars and Neon Trees, New Politics will be hitting the road once again in 2011 where they will continue to perform their riveting and unique sets which had Spin.com declaring their performance was “…the night’s most lasting take-away” during SXSW. New Politics have continued to develop their energetic live show which features front man David Boyd doing flips, headstands, and break dancing.

Already having been deemed “Buzzworthy” by MTV.com and featured on ESPN.com, their video for “Yeah Yeah Yeah” was a staple in the Top 10 on the FUSE Alternative Countdown. New Politics have performed on Fuel TV’s The Daily Habit and had the honor of having “Yeah Yeah Yeah” chosen as the Alli Theme Song for both the Dew Tour 2010 and the Lucas Oil Pro Motorcross tour.
