THE GAMITS RELEASE INTERACTIVE VIDEO FOR “THIS SHELL” AND GIVE AWAY FREE DOWNLOAD

Living up to THE GAMITS’ newest record title, PARTS, the Denver pop-punk trio has released a video for the single “This Shell” in the form of an interactive puzzle. Fans that visit www.ThisShell.com and are able to piece together the video clips in time will be rewarded with an instant free download of “This Shell.”

Released in September 2010 via Paper + Plastick/Suburban Home Records, Parts is the first offering from The Gamits since 2004’s critically lauded Antidote. The band’s triumphant return is being heralded by fans and critics, with Punknews.org commenting “Taking time off clearly worked some magic for this three-piece, as they've managed to put out what may just be the best pop-punk album of the year.” Sticking to the band’s tried-and-true pop-punk sound, Parts finds the band embracing darker elements, leaving Alternative Press to comment “The music is still peppy, clever and loaded with buzzsaw guitarwork and Beach Boys-esque ‘whoa’s,’ but [frontman Chris] Fogal’s voice sounds more weathered than ever.” Topping many year-end lists, ScenePointBlank adds “What do you get when you throw Jawbreaker and Alkaline Trio into a blender? One of the finest pop-punk albums of the year. The Gamits’ Parts takes a competent formula and uses it to keep the listener coming back for more.”

Parts is available now at digital retailers and on red and black swirl, blue and white swirl, and gray and black shimmer vinyl from Paper + Plastick:http://store.paperandplastick.com/products/5015.
