Bodog Music is thrilled to announce the signing of Fear Nuttin Band. The band joins Bodog Music's Growing roster of artists, which includes Wu-Tang Clan, Overkill, Neurosonic, The Vincent Black Shadow, Bif Naked and fellow Bodog Music Battle of the Bands competitors & grand prize winners Fall From Grace. Due to their overwhelming popularity and the staggering amount of votes to bring the band back on the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands on fuse TV, Bodog Music couldn't resist inking a deal with the group.
Bodog Music Founder Calvin Ayre noted "I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to sign another one of the nation's best independent bands, seeing that is what the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands competition is all about." He added "And these guys really bring it; their live show is amazing and their songs are already hits to me."
Fear Nuttin Band's "Yard-Core" music is a fusion of Jamaican Dance Hall vocals, hardcore instrumentals and socially conscience messaging. It is this innovative sound and festival of movement that made Fear Nuttin Band a force to be reckoned with throughout the competition. Their dynamite dancing and astounding charisma roused audiences all throughout the competition.
Once the band ventured into the national finals, being taped for the reality TV show, their unique sound and fierce live performance was evident to the entire viewing audience. Collectively Fear Nuttin Band forged ahead, labeled as "path finders" and winning both the hearts and respect of judges Johnny Rotten, Bif Naked, and Billy Duffy . Audiences were up in arms in LA when the band was sent packing after their dismissal. The people spoke with their online votes during the surprise Alternative Press Popular Vote Back and once again the Fear Nuttin Band took to the stage in LA for the finale.
Fear Nuttin Band has made the legendary Studio X in Seattle, Washington - home to such influential bands as Nirvana, REM and Heart - their new home. The band is working with producer Terry Date, who for over two decades, has delivered albums by revolutionary artists like Korn, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, White Zombie, Fishbone and many more, to lay down their upcoming Bodog Music Release due out in March.
"Boomblaze and I mean it," exclaimed Terry.
The iconic Hard Rock producer's goal for this album is to capture the intensity of the band's live show and harness the energy of this six-piece genre creating band.
As noted by their dual frontmen, "Ya mon, the Fear Nuttin Band is fired up to bring the noise on our Bodog Music record" said Roosta, with his partner Prowla adding, "we're jazzed to join the label that is quickly becoming one of the most exciting record labels in the world."
For now Fear Nutting Band will have a limited run EP available with them on tour offering audiences a taste of the music to come!
