Explicit Records artist -Jessica Vale - is preparing to release her follow-up to THE SEX ALBUM (2006) entitled BRAND NEW DISEASE on October 16th. Several remixes of the title track / first single from the album will be released to radio in America on August 28th and will include work from celebrity producers Reed McGowan (Depeche Mode, Scissor Sisters, Amy Winehouse) and Jody den Broeder (Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Rihanna).
In recent days, Jody den Broeder has garnered a tremendous amount of attention of his own with the Lush remix of Rihanna’s hit single Umbrella, making the Top 3 most downloaded dance track on itunes.
Upon speaking of the remixes, Jessica had this to say: “Listening as Jody and Reed transformed BRAND NEW DISEASE [the single] for new audiences was very powerful. They are two of the most talented remixers out there. Reed's reminds me of sunset in Manhattan, Jody's of sunrise in Ibiza.”
Jessica Vale has captured the attention and imagination of some significant media with her ground-breaking debut, The Sex Album. The New York Daily News, Billboard, Time Out NY, Wired Magazine, Associated Press covered her innovative sound and famous shock jock Howard Stern recognized her as a truly original artist on his Sirius Satellite Radio show. The highly successful club favorite “DISCO LIBIDO,” a sarcastic tribute to dance culture, stood tall on the Billboard Dance singles chart 13 weeks reaching a peak position at #15.
