NEW CD IN STORES TODAY

NEW CD ‘BETTER THAN A KILLER’ OUT TODAY ON SLUGFEST RECORDS

NYC. based rock band Black Market Radio (featuring Peter Cornell, brother to Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave) releases new CD, Better Than A Killer, on Philadelphia based indie Slugfest Records with distribution through ADA/Warner.

New CD Better Than A Killer is in stores today at select brick and mortar retailers in Seattle, San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, and Chicago. Music is also available online at www.slugfestrecords.com and is available for download through iTunes.

The band will be at Grape Street in Philadelphia on Thursday, August 23 to perform as part of the 93.3 WMMR Rocks! Thursday Rock Show hosted by Jaxon.

Black Market Radio toured steadily while completing work on their new release. The 12-song CD is a collaborative work reflecting the experiences of its creators, Peter Cornell and songwriter/bassist Keith Mannino (Shadowbox). Cornell and Mannino’s dynamic creative partnership is evident throughout the self-produced CD. The songs are simultaneously melodic and powerful, full of grit and passion. The opening track, “Waves,” features fiery, chugging groove and soaring harmonic vocals, teetering between bright sunshine and brooding clouds.

“Most of the tunes are autobiographical,” says Cornell “Better Than A Killer is what I really wanted to do as a musician and artist. It’s kind of a dark record, but there are shades of optimism.”

Better Than A Killer will serve to establish Peter Cornell as an innovative rock artist and deeply talented singer/songwriter.
