ENABLER And COP PROBLEM Added To New England Metal & Hardcore Fest
Bands To Collaborate On Tour Actions Flanking Event
|
Milwaukee's morose hardcore/punk outfit, ENABLER, and Philly's activism-driven hardcore d-beaters,COP PROBLEM, have both been added to the opening night of this year's installment of the massive New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, with a regional run of live dates being locked down flanking the gathering.
Just in time for the Spring thaw, these two infectious and aggravated acts will tackle a run of East Coast tour dates together surrounding their sets kicking off NEMHF 2014 on Thursday, April 17th, where ENABLER and COP PROBLEM will join that day's lineup already including All That Remains, Bleeding Through, Broken Hope, Emmure, Fallujah, Gideon, Kublai Khan, Obey The Brave, Rivers of Nihil and Years Since The Storm, with more still to be announced. The full routing will be announced in the coming days, joined by an even more extensive tour itinerary for ENABLER as they plod their way to the Eastern Seaboard and back to the Midwest.
While ENABLER and COP PROBLEM have randomly shared the stage previously, this upcoming tour is the first official excursion the two will embark on together, as the band's ties have been further tightened under the banner of Earsplit's new label sect, THE COMPOUND. The emancipation ofENABLER's Flies CDEP on Samhain 2013 marked the introductory title from THE COMPOUND, and now one of our next releases will be the 7" vinyl version of COP PROBLEM's Buried Beneath White Noise EP in March.
With five crushing original tracks and a cover of Sepultura's "Arise," ENABLER's Flies EP showcases some of the band's most grim yet melodic and angular riffs yet, as always inundated infectious hooks and the band's fully cynical "fuck off" vibes, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (From Ashes Rise, Integrity, Tragedy, All Pigs Must Die). The CD version is available directly from THE COMPOUND now via Earsplit Distro HERE. Flies was also licensed to London-based Holy Roar Records for a killer vinyl pressing available in three color schemes -- standard black, clear with black splatter and one edition with a screen-printed B-side. In Europe place preorders HERE and in the US right HERE.
COP PROBLEM's latest battle cry, Buried Beneath White Noise, is charged with the quartet's most enraged anthems yet. The four new tracks devastate with white-knuckled percussive rolls, dynamic and devastating riffery, and a torrent of vocal fury in retaliation to the vast, daily injustices afflicting innocent life around the globe, engineered by Will Yip (Paint It Black, Circa Survive, Balance & Composure). The 7" pressing will be released in March through an international joint effort between British DIY label, Prejudice Me, for European territories, and THE COMPOUND for North America. Stay tuned for preorders and an official release date.
