ICEAGE ANNOUNCE SUMMER TOUR OF NORTH AMERICA

The Danish four-piece comprising Iceage -- Jakob Tvilling Pless (bass), Dan Kjær Nielsen (drums), Elias Bender Rønnenfelt (vocals/guitar), and Johan Wieth (guitar) -- have kept busy since the release of their debut full-length album, New Brigade (What’s Your Rupture?/Abeano/Escho). Following a five-week tour of North America last summer, they released the video for “You’re Blessed,” which chronicled their tour of the states, received a thorough range of year-end accolades from outlets including Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, SPIN, New York Magazine, traversed Europe and Japan, and plunged themselves into various other projects. Jakob and Dan have been working on their metal band, SEJR (“victory” in Danish); Elias has released a 7” with War and is soon releasing his solo 7” under the name Marching Church; and Johan has recorded an album in an old church with War and Sexdrome frontman Loke Rahbek. In addition to working on new Iceage material, the band is currently on the road overseas and will return to the states this summer to tour the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast, including stops at Chaos in Tejas in Austin and the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.
