UK based
indie label Xtra Mile Recordings is very excited to announce
details of a new distribution deal for releases in North America. Teaming up
with the fantastic and like-minded people at Independent Label Group (ILG),
Xtra Mile will now be able to release records by their amazing and ever
expanding roster across America and Canada.
Launching
the new partnership with ILG will be the release of the incredible new album by Future
Of The Left. These Welsh rockers became one of the most talked about bands
of the recent SxSW festival in Austin, TX, playing to packed out venues and
recruiting a new army of fans. Their new album The Plot Against Common
Sense will hit the shops on June 12th, 2012.
Managing
Director of Xtra Mile, Charlie Caplowe says: "Xtra
Mile has been looking for the right Distribution and Marketing deal in North
America for a while; Kenny Weagly and the team over at ILG were exactly what we
were looking for to launch the label and great artists into this key territory
for us. We're over the moon about finalising the deal and can't wait to
get cracking! We are fully charged to continue growing the band on the American
side of the pond."
Kenny Weagly from ILG adds: "Everyone
here at ILG is excited to have Xtra Mile join our family of labels. We
respect what Charlie Caplowe and Xtra Mile have been building in the UK, and
are looking forward to helping them continue to grow the label and their
associated artists in North America."
Born from a
passion for music and a strong DIY ethic, Xtra Mile Recordings started in 2003
to release albums by post-hardcore band Million Dead and rock outfit Reuben.
After receiving critical acclaim for both albums, the label slowly began to
grow and year on year the roster expanded, playing host to an eclectic array of
emerging and established acts, that include Frank Turner, The Xcerts,
Crazy Arm, Far, I Am The Avalanche, Against Me!, Future Of The Left, Dave
Hause, Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun, Fighting Fiction and Straight Lines plus
many more.
Look out
for new releases in North America by The Xcerts, Crazy Arm, Mull
Historical Society and Sophie Madeleine in the coming
months.
