Following the recent March release of RevCo’s new CD, "Sex-O Olympic-O" on Al Jourgensen’s 13th Planet Records, Grammy nominated guitarist Sin Quirin will be stopping by Playboy Radio’s studio this Friday, May 8th at 6PM (PST) for a special appearance on the “Night Calls” radio show. Sin will be discussing RevCo’s recent release, (for which he has co-writing credits), and plans for the band’s upcoming Fall tour, and will be taking calls from “Night Calls” avid listeners.
“Night Calls”, hosted by Christy Canyon and Nicki Hunter broadcasts live Monday-Friday from 4-7PM (PST) from Playboy Radio’s Los Angeles Studios. Playboy Radio can be heard by SIRIUS 99 and XM99 radio subscribers and fans can call in to the show at 1 (877) 205.9796. Visit www.playboyradio.com or http://www.myspace.com/nightcallsonplayboyradio for more information.
Sin, in addition to his role in The Revolting Cocks, has performed and toured with Ministry (co-writing credits on Ministry’s 2007 release "The Last Sucker" and guitar on 2008’s "Cover Up" album). You can also check him out on Ministry’s new double-disc DVD set, "Adios…Puta Madres", which will be released on May 26, and accompanies the audio release of the same title, which came out on March 31 on 13th Planet Records. Both the CD and DVD were captured during Ministry’s sold out worldwide final "C U LaTouR 2008”. Sin also recently collaborated with DJ Hardware on the ReVamp tour in which his incredible talents to shred on guitar combined with Hardware’s world class mixing abilities for a live genre defying mix of remixes, mashups, and originals in an extremely innovative format. Sin's The “I’m Not Gay” (Hardware Mixxx) was unleased upon dancefloors last Christmas via an exclusive internet servicing to North American DJs.
RevCo’s "Sex-O Olympic-O", produced, mixed and co-written by founding member Jourgensen, was released on March 3rd, and he passed on the RevCo torch to three talented musicians - eccentric singer Josh Bradford, guitarist Sin Quirin, and keyboardist/electronic specialist Clayton Worbeck. "Sex-O Olympic-O" retains the unmistakable RevCo industrial-dance-metal sound, and sees Quirin, Bradford and Worbeck let first-wave glam rock seep into their already rich sound. "Jambase.com"’s Dennis Cook proclaimed, “Grab your amyl nitrite and fanciest dog collar and prepare to sweat. RevCo's latest is big, nasty, nostalgic, effective dance grind that shoves a hot pepper up your ass, willy-nilly, and hurtles you back to when Sisters had mercy and Ministry played under a cage.” Tim Bugbee raved on "Big Takeover.com", “The sweaty glamrock vapors that permeate "Sex-O Olympic-O" will fill the room once you tear the cellophane off of the cd.” And "Regen
Magazine"’s Ilker Yucel said, "Sex-O Olympic-O could very well be the Revolting Cocks' most cohesive album to date…the trio of Bradford, Quirin, and Worbeck are more than capable of carrying the mantle and keeping the party going until the end of time, full of all the pornographic delights and alcohol-induced frenzy you could ever want."
Now that "Sex-O Olympic-O" is in the can, Jourgensen and his "knuckleheads" have begun tracking yet another RevCo release at Jourgensen's 13th Planet Studios in El Paso, TX. As he did with "Sex-O", Jourgensen will produce this next release as well as be involved in writing and playing on the album. RevCo will then initiate rehearsals for the upcoming RevCo World Tour, scheduled to begin in Fall 2009. While Jourgensen won't claim a bunk on RevCo's tour bus for the duration of the trek, he does plan to perform with the band on a few choice dates.
