FROM POP PRINCESS TO BAD-GIRL GODDESS, KACI BATTAGLIA TAKES “CRAZY POSSESSIVE” TO THE TOP
At only 21 years old Curb Records’ solo recording artist, Kaci Battaglia, is on the fast track to the top of the music world – and nothing is going to stop her! Her hot new single, “Crazy Possessive” is not only climbing the Billboard charts (this week it jumps four places to #6 on the Dance Top 40 chart and is the 2nd most added track on the Club Play chart), but is also winning the sexy, young songstress fans amongst both the electro-pop/dance-loving public, and in the media around the world.
Influential blogger, Arjan Writes, hand-picked Kaci to appear in his premiere Superfraiche (Arjan-speak for soon-to-break-big) show in NYC, just two weeks ago; while the UK’s hottest blog, Pop Justice, recently named the single SONG OF THE DAY before international release plans were even in place. The reception is equally enthusiastic at radio, where this week ‘Crazy Possessive’ is a fast-rising Power-Pick on the Billboard Dance Club Airplay chart. "Great song... lots of attitude! Already reacting on the phones" says Joel Salzowitz of WNYZ - The PULSE in NYC. And in San Francisco, KNGY has tapped the Diva to ‘bring it’ live at their huge ‘Pink Saturday’ Gay Pride show on June 27th.
But unlike many of her peers, Kaci is not your average ‘new artist’. In many respects, she’s not ‘new’ at all – certainly not if ‘new’ implies a lack of experience. By the time she was 13, she had already signed a record deal, toured the world, and had several top ten singles. Since then, Kaci’s focus has been on honing her skills as a writer and developing a unique sound that will showcase her power-house vocals.
With the release of her first offering in several years, it is clear that this young woman has a strong point of view and a pop sensibility that will undoubtedly propel her first single, Crazy Possessive,’ to the top of the charts. “The lyric is pretty ballsy,” Kaci says, “ but it’s a fun song. It’s a strong topic with a positive message, and hopefully a lot of girls will be able to relate to it.”
With remixes from Digital Dog (called “MASSIVE” by Pop Justice), Rod Carillo and Cahill among others as well as a hefty tour schedule ahead of her, Kaci Battaglia won’t stop ‘til “Crazy Possessive” mucks up the world!
