Chamberlain's David Moore Solo Debut Out Now on Doghouse Records
Moore is an amalgam of rough-hewn voices you've heard before - a little Springsteen, maybe some Joe Cocker or Ian McLagan and even a little Neil Diamond now and then - and he positively lives inside the songs. - Magnet Magazine
Each song is epic, grandiose and ebullient and fraught with emotion, peril and sensitivity. Moore writes the kinds of songs that musicians spend lifetimes trying to find, and that he does it so effortlessly is even more impressive. - Absolutepunk
It all started a few years back when singer David Moore and guitarist Adam Rubenstein decided it was time for the singer of the then defunct indie-hardcore bands Split Lip and Chamberlain, to take his songwriting abilities to the masses while his bands were on hiatus.
Moore had built one of the strongest cult followings any songwriter has ever seen, and he knew his fans were all but clawing their eyes out for some new material from their not-oft-enough heard from hero. Sure there was the impromptu Chamberlain reunion show at SXSW 2008, but the performance was so unexpected, not only were fans unprepared, but even the band members didn't see it coming until they were all on stage together. After that moment, they knew they needed to do it again.
Earlier this year, Moore and Rubenstein's critically acclaimed and fan-worshipped band Chamberlain, reunited for a series of dates throughout the Midwest, playing to packed houses and crying fans in Indianapolis, Chicago, and Louisville, as they readied the release of Moore's debut solo effort, now some two years in the making.
