News From Plant Music: Updates and Free Music!!

Plant Music is the record label owned and run by Stretch Armstrong and Dominique Keegan, both New York-based DJs who have had their hands in a wide range of club music spanning the last two decades. The two met each other at the club Centro Fly where they both held down weekly dj gigs, Stretch downstairs playing hip-hop with Dominique playing house and techno on the main floor for his Plant night, which developed alongside his infamous bar of the same name. Both of them, so deep into their respective scenes, would sneak to the other's dj booth to catch a breath of fresh air. Dominique had just released 'The Sound of Young New York' compilations in the wake of Plant Bar being closed down for dancing violations when Stretch came on board and from there the two developed a friendship and set their eyes on Plant Music as an outlet for music from their circle of dj and producer friends, including Dom's own band The Glass.

Moving forward Plant Music will continue to release 12”s/digital singles and also a new series of label compilations as well as more full length artist albums. They have also recently teamed up with Peter Oasis, head of LiveNDirect, as an in house booking agent to develop the artists’ touring careers as well as molding Plant into a full tier entertainment company that will also include a publishing company and who knows, maybe another venue…
