With summer just around the corner, ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL (EDC) is turning up the heat by adding a handful of high-profile acts to an already scorching line-up. Southern California’s premier electronic music experience for over a decade--set for Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27 at the Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Park in Los Angeles--is excited to announce the addition of live performances from Thievery Corporation, The Crystal Method, Shiny Toy Guns and STS9, as well as an exclusive DJ set by Groove Armada.

Washington D.C.-based duo Thievery Corporation will headline Friday night’s Kinetic Field stage in support of their latest offering Radio Retaliation, while the genre-blending STS9 bring their eclectic mix of live instrumentation and laptop funk to Friday’s Circuit Grounds stage. Currently on tour in support of their recently released Divided By Night, electronic icons The Crystal Method will perform their first live set in Los Angeles in over five years at Saturday night’s Circuit Grounds stage. London’s big beat legends Groove Armada will also perform an exclusive DJ set at Saturday’s Kinetic Field right on the floor of the Coliseum. Hometown heroes Shiny Toy Guns will bring their frenetic live energy to Friday's Neon Garden stage where the Grammy-nominated foursome will perform material from their latest release Season of Poison. Unfortunately, Fat Boy Slim will no longer be appearing at EDC due to unavoidable family commitments.

In other news, EDC has added an additional area for Friday’s festivities. The Circuit Grounds stage, originally booked only for Saturday’s show, will now be in full effect on Friday night with more talent soon to be announced. Perfectly capturing the excitement and dynamics of the festival, EDC has released a high-definition commercial depicting the breathtaking performances, bouncing atmosphere and massive crowds sure to hit this year’s event. EDC will also be jam-packed with a mind-blowing array of attractions, more full-size carnival rides than ever before and an intensely surreal assortment of art installations and performers to create a carnival for the eyes and ears. With six themed areas of music, art and festivities, this will be a truly special ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL.
