The Lady Tigra is one half of the Miami bass duo L’Trimm, one of hip-hop’s earliest, sassiest, and most influential female
duos. The girls busted out of the Miami bass movement and are best known for the deliriously catchy track, “Cars That
go Boom”, an ode to subwoofers. So it’s no surprise that her latest is another ode to the bottom-end.
“Bass On the Bottom” was remixed by Mr Hahn of Lincoln Park and it’s video directed by John Stalberg Jr. With drive-by
shootings, drug-addled poolside parties and breakdancing ninjas, it is fun and mighty sexy. Reminincent of Shaft, but
with a “lady” twist, Tigra protrays the character Switchblade Uzi, who’s “always got her food planted firmly up assses”.

Signed to High Score records in 2006, her new album, Please Mr Boom Box, is a vivid mashing of styles that helped
pioneer her career... a total continuation of the bouncy, infections confections she is known for. On her new album, the
Lady Tigra instictively brings a cultural hybrid of sonic motifs. She collaborated with LA singer-songwriter and production
whiz Berko and also jumped in the studio to duet with MC Lytle and Mr Hahn (as mentioned above). The result, Please
Mr Boom Box, showcases her cool as a cucumber, deadpan flow which is brilliantly layered over minimal old-school
production.
The Lady Tigra has already pounced into action, jumping on the Pinkberry craze. Her single, “Sorry Ice Cream”, now
the company’s singature song, has got the captivating hooks that are TOTALLY Lady Tigra. The song has been checked
just about everywhere from Perez Hilton to NY Magazine to Paper Mag to the LA Times.
Kicking off ‘07 with a spot opening for Gnarls Barkley and Kanye West along with a album on the way, the Lady Tigra
has got her claws out!
