Tits of Clay follows sold-out shows with announcement of PledgeMusic-funded EP

Following successful sold-out shows at Mercury Lounge and Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, punk rockers Tits of Clay launch a PledgeMusic campaign to bring fans an EP of covers and original tunes inspired by their Broadway performance in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. In return, the band offers unique mementos like disposable cameras filled with personal photos taken in the studio and at their live shows.

Handpicked by renowned musician/composer Stephen Trask, the band performs by day/evening as the Angry Inch in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and by night as Hedwig-lyric-inspired Tits of Clay. The band will now “assume the disguise of their true identities” in a 4-song EP that showcases the excitement and energy of their alter-ego’s live performances.

Born out of the idea that any proper production of Hedwig must remain true to its New York City night club roots, the band members—all of whom have serious cred in the rock world—knew immediately that the Broadway stage could not contain their shared creativity. The EP will be an extension of their club performances, which pay homage to and further explore Hedwig’s punk rock roots.
