Gerard Way's Debut Solo Album 'Hesitant Alien' Out Today On Warner Bros. Records

Los Angeles, CA - Hesitant Alien, the debut solo album from former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, is out today on Warner Bros. Records.

Way will make two in-store appearances to celebrate the release of Hesitant Alien. He will be signing copies of the album today at Vacation Vinyl, 3815 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026, at 5:30 p.m. Fans will also be able to help create a custom art piece to commemorate the album's release.

Way will also be signing copies of Hesitant Alien at Hot Topic Hollywood & Highland, 6801 Hollywood Blvd. #345, Hollywood, CA 90028, on October 4th. As of last Friday, those who purchase a CD + T-shirt bundle at the store will receive a wristband that guarantees the opportunity to meet Way. LOLA will be making a special appearance at this event. Those who take their photo with LOLA can enter to win a pair of tickets to see Way live on October 14th at The Fonda Theater.

Here's what critics have had to say about Hesitant Alien:

"One of the freakiest, sexiest, most heroic rock records of 2014." - BlackBook

"Electrifying... Gerard Way mines Brit pop, glam rock, and iconic guitar heroes for a startling new solo turn." - MTV

"The liberated-sounding, hummable Hesitant Alien is an excellent entrant, its ambitions realizing themselves in sometimes-surprising ways." - Wondering Sound

"The world needs rock stars. And Gerard has proved himself to be one of the best." - Kerrang

"Hesitant Alien has enough requisite cool and clamor to insure he stays both relevant and remarkably vibrant - and, you know, cool as fuck." - Alternative Press

Hesitant Alien was produced by longtime engineer Doug McKean (MCR's May Death Never Stop You: The Greatest Hits 2001-2013, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys) and mixed by Tchad Blake (Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys).
