MODERN BASEBALL

Philadelphia's Modern Baseball are ending their grand slam of a year with a full US headlining tour in November and December (all tour dates below).  Bringing Knuckle Puck, Crying, and Somos along for the ride on all dates, Foxing, Walter Mitty & His Makeshift Orchestra and Hostage Calm will also each play on different legs of the tour. A certain number of pre-sale tickets are available today via DucatKing as well as VIP tickets. All other tickets will be on sale this Friday morning at 12pm EST.

Modern Baseball have truly had an incredible year. Their sophomore album, You're Gonna Miss It All on Run for Cover Records debuted at #84 on the Billboard charts in February, and has received critical acclaim from a wide variety of outlets from Entertainment Weekly to Pitchfork to Alternative Press. Their Kyle Thrash-directed video for the single "Your Graduation" has nearly a half million views, and the band has toured the US and Europe almost non-stop since the record's release, gaining new fans across the globe.

The band was formed in 2011 by friends and guitarists Jacob Ewald and Brendan Lukens, who were soon joined by Ian Farmer on bass and Sean Huber on drums.  Modern Baseball self-released their first EP The Nameless Ranger in 2011 while still in high school.  Shortly after the members relocated to Philadelphia to attend college and quickly gained a strong following in the Philadelphia music community, teaming up with locals Marietta to release the Couples Therapy split in the spring of 2012.  They released their debut full-lengthSports later that year on Lame-O Records, which they self-recorded and produced.  After spending the summer of 2013 touring heavily across the US, the band headed into Studio A in Philadelphia to self-record You're Going to Miss It All.  Mixed by Jonathan Low at Minor Street Recordings and mastered by Will Yip, You're Going to Miss It All features 12 tracks that showcase the band's signature witty indie-pop.

Modern Baseball kicks off a 6-week tour with The Wonder Years, The Story So Far and Gnarwolves this week which ends at Fest 13 (all tour dates below).
