June 12th, 2014 - ORANGE COUNTY, CA - Pop/rock/electro trio, WASI, is excited to premiere the lyric video for their infectiously catchy summer song, "Adolescents," on PureVolume. The band is currently headed to the studio with accomplished producer Matt Squire (Youngblood Hawke, Ariana Grande, Panic! At The Disco, 3OH!3) to begin recording their debut EP which will be released this summer!
"We give everything 150%, from the songwriting, to the promotion, to the shows, to the parties. We write what fits US and stay true to our vision of what WASI is about while also making sure everyone else is having as much fun as we are," explains WASI.
WASI has been featured in outlets such OC Weekly for their Riot Grrrl- inspired pop rock and are known for their energetic and captivating stage presence. The band has performed for KROQ's Locals Only Showcase, Ladyfest Los Angeles and just recently wrapped up a successful residency with the famous Silverlake Lounge in Los Angeles. Their song "Adolescents" is already receiving airplay on radio stations in San Diego, CA, Amarillo, TX, Reno, NV, Denver, CO, Los Angeles, CA, and more with international stations in Sweden and New Zealand also spinning. The band has also partnered with non-profit organizations such as Keep A Breast.

Composed of Cosmo (guitar/synth/vocals), Jess (bass/synth/vocals) and Carlo (drums), WASI blends "Closer" era Tegan & Sara with the reminiscent melodies of Blink 182 to create a soundtrack to Southern California nights of skinny-dipping and angsty-garage punk shows.
WASI's self-sustaining momentum is as infectious as their simple melodies and enthusiastic live energy.
