Citizen Announce Fall N. America Tour / Debut LP "Youth" Out Now on Run For Cover Records

Citizen's rise through the underground punk scene has been equal parts rapid and stealthy.  Since the release of their debut full-length Youth on Run For Cover Records last June, the Michigan quintet has quietly amassed an enormous following, with their videos for "The Summer" and "How Does It Feel" collectively accumulating over a half-million views, sold-out tours, and socials that top over 100k fans.  It seems as an appropriate time as any for Citizen to embark on their first North American headlining tour, and today the band announced just that.  The tour kicks off September 6th in Toronto and sees the band circling the country until October 15th in Cleveland (all tour dates below).  Support will be announced soon and tickets for all dates will go on sale this Friday.

Youth was recorded by Will Yip (La Dispute, Title Fight, Braid, Pity Sex) at Studio 4 and debuted at #171 on the Billboard Top 200 and #9 on Heatseekers.  Since forming as midwestern high-schoolers in 2009, Citizen has continually demonstrated that they are one of the most promising young bands in the alternative rock underground today.
