Twin Peaks Share Video for "Flavor"; Wild Onion Out 8/5 On Grand Jury

"So put your, little hand in mine, there ain't no hill or mountain we can't climb." Hmm, this day seems familiar. Something very odd is happening to Twin Peaks in the video for "Flavor," the first single off their new album, Wild Onion (out 8/5 on Grand Jury). The brash young 20-year-old Chicagoans are mid-pool party when they're confronted with a lack of beer, which sets them off on a journey that leads them right back to the start. I'd say more, but maybe you should just check it out yourself. You might see cameos from Brandon of FIDLAR, Cherry Glazerr, Criminal Hygiene, and Ned Ryerson (ok, maybe not that last one). The video was filmed (no joke) in the backyard of Marilyn Manson's old Hollywood abode, which you'll probably recognize as well from all the Church of Satan mixers you went to that one, weird summer a few years back. EARLY PRAISE FOR WILD ONION

"Lead single "Flavor" maintains Twin Peaks' punk-informed classic-rockin' spirit of yore - think Black Lips meets Free Energy - but now it comes in bursts of crisp, clear, high fidelity." -- Stereogum

"Loose, bright and punchy (think Free Energy), while still employing much of the four-piece's raw edginess." - Consequence of Sound

"The feel-good album of the year is here...The 16-track party opus is ripe for SoCal beach bonfires, skate park makeout sessions, neverending road trip escapades -- hell, whenever you want to get weird and have fun...this album is just what this summer needs: A playful, rollicking romp with a punkish, who-gives-a-f--- attitude. This is just feel-good rock & roll that doesn't take itself too seriously; a 40 minute reminder to relax, chug a beer and just roll with punches when life gets dumb." - NBC SoundDiego

"The young garage quartet's sophomore album is a thoughtful, fleshed out collection of psych-pop songs recorded in an actual studio (as opposed to hastily in frontman Cadien James's basement like the band's 2013 debut, Sunken). Traces of the Nuggets box set, the Stones and West Coast low-fi hero Ty Segall can all be gleaned from the record's 16 tracks, a solid sonic testament to a maturing band whose buzz is well deserved. " - Chicago Mag

"Flavor...is pure power pop. It has the exact balance between sloppiness and pristine dynamics. It sounds carefully constructed yet close to falling apart. Shiny yet somehow raw, sophisticated yet lo-fi, cocky yet unsure, raucous yet ravishing. Lasting two minutes but containing a lifetime's worth of exhilaration and pain. It is a brilliant blast from the past made by a bunch of boys who weren't even born when Big Star made their early-'90s comeback." - The Guardian Band of the Week
