MOVEMENT’S US TOUR STARTS: SF, NYC, AND PHILADELPHIA THIS COMING WEEK

Movement kicked off their first US tour in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, playing to a beyond-capacity crowd at The Echo. The brief tour takes the band to San Francisco tonight, where they play the long-standing SF party Popscene. They hit the East Coast to play 2 shows in New York (Glasslands on Saturday night and Westway on Monday), before finishing up in Philadelphia on Thursday night at Making Time’s huge July 4 party at The Dolphin.

The official video for EP track ‘Ivory’, directed by Fleur & Manu (Tricky, M83, Gesaffelstein, Connan Mockasin) will be revealed next week.

The Movement EP:

Best New Track for ‘Us’ and ‘Like Lust’ - Pitchfork

“When first hearing Movement it would be understandable to assume it was just one producer weaving hazy, smooth sounds while repeating vocal phrases like mantras. But this is a band, and watching them play this music and sing these vocals in front of you is breathtaking.” -Stereogum

“Sydney’s Movement drops what is probably their best song yet (although “Like Lust” continues to creep on us in the best way) in the spectral/sexy new track Ivory” - Gorilla vs Bear

“…(a) swampy mid-tempo jammer with a yearning chord progression and the sort of heavy-chested, late night atmosphere that sounds really nice inside headphones.” – The Fader on ‘Ivory’
