Cut Copy Announce Deluxe LP (Out 7/22), Incl. 3 New Tracks + NEW Video, Int'l Tour!

Grammy-nominated Cut Copy have announced the release of a deluxe version of their latest album Free Your Mind, to coincide with a busy schedule of summer festivals and US tour dates with Classixx. It will be available at all digital retailers on July 22nd via by Loma Vista (N. America) and Modular (ROW).

The record, taking influence from the ability of Summers of Love tear down the walls of perception while creating a fantasy of what the next youth revolution might sound like, will be re-released with five additional tracks: “In These Arms of Love” and “Like Any Other Day” (previously only available as a US-only Record Store Day vinyl release), and three previously unheard songs – “Believers”, “Lights Shine On” and “I Wish the Sun Would Grow Today”. They were all recorded by the band in Australia and mixed by producer Dave Fridmann during the Free Your Mindsessions.

"The process for making Free Your Mind was very open ended with all of us in the band letting musical ideas emerge rather than going in with a strong vision or style,” says the band’s Dan Whitford. “So it was inevitable that some ideas - even some of our personal favourites - weren’t going to fit perfectly into the final track list once the album had begun to take shape. The deluxe version of Free Your Mind was an opportunity to let people listen to some of the weirder moments and our favourite b-sides from the album recording sessions."

In celebration of the deluxe release, the band are delighted to share the video for album standout “Meet Me In A House of Love,” directed by fellow Australians Trouble Hands. Watch it HERE.

The band are blitzing Summer festivals in the next few months, having just finished ripping up Primavera and Bonnaroo on their way to appearances at Electric Forest, Lollapalooza, Canada’s Osheaga, Outside Lands, Portugal’s Parades de Coura, France’s Rock en Seine, Spain’s Sonorama, Swiss Openair and Mexico’s Hellow Fest.
